Most of our greatest problems are not caused by a lack of intelligence.
They are caused by what we cannot yet see in ourselves, our thinking, our relationships, and our organizations.
Most of us were taught what to think, but very few of us were ever taught to understand how we think.
The Habit Finder / Metacognition Assessment helps reveal the internal habits of thought influencing how you make decisions, respond to pressure, lead, communicate, build relationships, and pursue success.
There are no “good” or “bad” results. The goal is simply to discover which habits are supporting you — and which may be quietly working against you.
You’ll receive a personalized 44-page report, plus my personal video analysis helping you better understand what your results may be revealing and where your greatest opportunities may be.

Most problems are not caused by a lack of intelligence. They are caused by intelligent people who cannot see what is driving their own thinking.
After more than five decades in business, leadership, entrepreneurship, family, success, loss, rebuilding, and the classroom of life, I have become fascinated by one question:
Who is doing the thinking?
We educate people in finance, leadership, strategy, technology, communication, and management — yet very few of us were ever taught to understand the ego, identity, fear, threatened value, internal habits of thought, and unconscious patterns influencing our decisions every day.
That missing education can become extraordinarily expensive.
It shows up in leadership conflict, broken relationships, poor decisions, organizational dysfunction, anger, fear, burnout, repeated mistakes, and talented people working against themselves without realizing it.
That is where I do my best work.
I help individuals, executives, entrepreneurs, families, teams, and organizations stop long enough to see what may be impossible to see from inside the problem. Sometimes one better question can uncover what years of effort have missed.
My work is now provided through Encouragement Enterprises International, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, because I want this kind of help available to people based on their need — not simply their ability to pay.
If something in your life, leadership, company, team, or relationships keeps repeating and you cannot understand why, I would encourage you not to simply work harder at the same problem.
Talk with me.
You may not need another consultant, another seminar, another strategy, or another motivational speech.
You may simply need to see what you have not been able to see yet.
I’m Fred DeFalco. I’m here to serve — and I would be honored to help.
But I eventually learned something that changed how I define success:
Achievement without inner sanity can become another form of failure.
You can hit the numbers and lose the marriage.
Build the company and lose yourself.
Increase your net worth while decreasing your peace.
Become more productive while becoming less alive.
Today, when I work with an individual, leader, entrepreneur, family, team, or organization, I am interested in more than performance.
I want success to work without success destroying the person creating it.
That means looking beneath goals and strategies to the habits of thought, identity, fear, beliefs, relationships, and internal patterns influencing the person behind the performance.
I no longer look at trouble, failure, conflict, or crisis merely as something to escape.
Very often, they are red lights.
They are life’s way of telling us:
“Something needs your attention.”
The problem is that most of us respond by running faster, working harder, blaming someone else, changing the strategy, or repeating the same thinking that created the trouble.
I help people stop long enough to ask a better question:
What is this situation trying to show me that I have not yet been willing or able to see?
That question has saved me years, relationships, businesses, money, heartache — and ultimately helped me discover a very different definition of success.
And I did not learn that from theory.
I learned it by living it.
I have been dancing through life since 1953, changing my steps as the music changed and learning to listen more carefully to Twisdom™ — Time and Wisdom.
Life has allowed me to experience an extraordinary range of positions, pleasures, possessions, successes, failures, relationships, responsibilities, and realities.
I have traveled from the ghetto to greatness, from poor to prosperous, from broke to rich and rich to broke, from uneducated to self-educated, from no means to millions — and ultimately from meaningless millions to miraculous meaning.
I have climbed more than one ladder to the top and, when I discovered the ladder was leaning against the wrong wall, I have intentionally climbed back down.
That may be the most valuable education I ever received.
I have sat with beggars and billionaires. I have known people on death row awaiting execution — including my own brother — and executives wondering why decades of successful “executions” still left something profoundly missing inside.
I have lived the high-net-worth life and watched people discover that increasing their net worth did not necessarily increase their self-worth, PEACE, meaning, or joy.
I have managed thousands of people, taught people how to achieve, learned from remarkable leaders, built businesses, created wealth, lost wealth, rebuilt, succeeded at very high levels, and fallen far enough to discover what success could never teach me.
My life has been one turnaround after another.
That began early.
I was the youngest of six children in a troubled family and grew up receiving plenty of hand-me-downs — including, as I like to joke, my wife, which turned out to be the best hand-me-down I ever received.
From childhood forward, I repeatedly found myself in circumstances that needed to be turned around.
When I entered corporate life at 23, the pattern continued. I was often given troubled assignments, difficult markets, struggling operations, and situations other people did not quite know what to do with.
Later, as an entrepreneur, I discovered that the same ability to see possibilities inside problems could create substantial financial wealth.
But the greatest wealth was not what I accumulated.
It was what I discovered after much of it disappeared.
When the world I had constructed came crashing down, I was forced to examine something far more important than my balance sheet:
Who was I without everything I had used to define myself?
That question changed my life.
Over time, I began to see that many of our greatest struggles are not caused by a lack of intelligence, education, ambition, strategy, or effort.
They begin much deeper — in the identity, beliefs, fears, conditioning, habits of thought, and internal programming through which we interpret our lives.
That discovery eventually became Twisdomology™ — Truth + Wisdom + Time.
It is not a theory I discovered in a classroom.
I lived the classroom.
Today, I help people stop long enough to examine the red lights appearing in their lives, relationships, leadership, businesses, families, decisions, and inner world.
A red light is not necessarily your enemy.
Sometimes it is life saying:
“Pay attention. Something here needs to be seen differently.”
That is where I am most useful.
If something keeps repeating…
If success no longer feels successful…
If your organization has intelligence but not alignment…
If your relationships keep colliding…
If a crisis has disrupted everything you thought was secure…
Or if something inside you simply keeps saying, “There has to be more than this,” pay attention.
You may not need another strategy.
You may not need another motivational seminar.
You may not need to run faster.
You may need to see what you have never been taught to see.
My work today is carried forward through Encouragement Enterprises International, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so that the ability to pay does not determine who gets the opportunity to receive meaningful help.
I work with individuals, leaders, entrepreneurs, families, teams, organizations, and communities.
And whether the challenge is personal or organizational, I begin in essentially the same place:
Let’s stop.
Let’s look.
Let’s ask better questions.
And let’s discover what the trouble may be trying to teach us.
I cannot promise that I already know every answer to your situation.
But after more than seven decades of living, building, losing, loving, leading, falling, rebuilding, questioning, and learning, I have become very good at helping people uncover the question they have not yet asked and the thing they have not yet seen.
That can change everything.
I hope we get to meet soon.
Soulfully yours,
Fred DeFalco
